I came here for lunch only because the reviews said 4.5 out of 366 something people, so misleading. This is not a Mexican restaurant, this is more of an American - I don't know what to call it. I don't know who is back there cooking, but I know they are not Mexican! The lack of flavor was masked with a red sauce that was over used in two seperate dishes, which were bland as well. I should of just went to taco bell, it probably would of been more authentic smh

Food was great and portions were good. I had the shrimp tacos and the two sauces that come with it were delicious. They also gave us chips and homemade salsa which was also great. Due to COVID they walk out to your car to take the order and bring everything out to you. They are wearing masks and very helpful.

Mediocre food the presentation was better than the taste. Very expensive and a long wait time.

Tonight had been my wife and I's 2nd time dining here in the last 3 weeks. This time we brought our 2 Adult sons. We enjoyed the atmosphere, especially looking out over the Hudson River. The Food has been Great, and the staff Very Attentive. The Portions have been more then a meal. We would Surely Recommend You Visit.

Beautiful scenery and nicely decorated restaurant. Great salsa and guacamole. We ate outside which was a really nice atmosphere on the hudson. It was very very busy this time and we waited sixty minutes for our food without explanation. We will come back but stick to lunch or less busy times.

Staff are very friendly and efficient. We had a problem with our table rocking back and forth. The waiter fixed it and apologized. Food was good and the atmosphere was nice. They even recognized a birthday next to us. The only thing I did not enjoy was the nacho appetizer.

More than 1 hour later and food hasn’t arrive to our table or our drinks refill. Very slow service

Love love love this place. The location is awesome. Right near the water. The food is phenomenal and reasonably priced. The service was awesome and the atmosphere is really nice. Came here by accident and it was by far the best and freshest Mexican food I have had in a long time. I had the seafood soup and OMG It was so good. Try this place you will not regret it. I cant wait to go back. I left so full and leftovers.

My husband and I had an awesome time celebrating my birthday at Playa Cancun in Stony Point, NY. You HAVE to go eat there. The food was extremely delicious, the service was awesome, the ambiance is perfect and the views add to it all. We are planning our next trip and can't wait to try more wonderful things on the menu. I don't normally post reviews, but this place deserves recognition. Thinking about it is making me hungry😋

I cannot be considered connoisseur of Mexican Food but this place is rock solid. Food is consistently good. Drinks are good. The staff are very nice. So much so that one of the hostesses gives us a kiss and chats with us for a few (we been there a bunch). The view of the river is excellent too.

Playa Cancun is open for take out. It sits overlooking the beautiful Hudson River and is a great place to sit in the car and enjoy delicious Mexican food. When seating is open we always have a fun time. The servers are friendly and respectful and the food is very good. Highly recommend for a great night out.

Gorgeous setting, Great food at good prices!

After having a bad experience a year ago we figured we would give them another try. Ordered our food and drinks . Drinks came right away with chips and salsa. Other people were filtering in after us being seated. Their appetizers came soon after their drinks...ours came forty five minutes after our order. Then our main course took another forty minutes to come out. The food was average tasting and a beef dish was over salted. It looks like the regular customers were getting better and quicker service as they were getting much faster service. The real shame is with its location and view of the water this place could be a gold mine for the owners. Needs better management. Will not be returning.

Wait staff slow and not responsive to filling water and chips when empty. I got a veggie skewer with shrimp, chicken and beef. It had absolutely no seasoning on it. Not even salt. The one redeeming quality is that the view is beautiful and atmosphere is fun and festive.

Everything from the location (great view) to the service is stellar! The food is very good, the drinks are great and the service is excellent. As a regular, I’ve never been disappointed.

This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the Lower Hudson Valley. It's right on the water which I would imagine is beautiful in the summertime. The restaurant itself is very spacious and colorful and has a fun vibe. Their margaritas are delicious and the bartender went out of his way to make sure we liked the way he made it. I had the vegetarian platter for my entree and it was high quality and delicious as well.The waitress was very kind and helpful and made sure to check back on us when we recieved our drinks and food. Service was also quick and everyone we spoke to was polite and friendly. They also had live music (two musicians both playing guitar and singing) and their music was beautiful! They even took requests and sang for individual tables around the restaurant.In my opinion, it was not only a good dining experience, but a place with good and friendly energy, making it a fun night. I will definitely be coming back!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Rockland. Everyone should try the steak street tacos. Service is great! Always have a pleasant experience when I go here.
